Billing and Office Assistant

Job Description
Full time position in healthcare in an office setting with benefits that include health and dental insurance, 401k, paid holiday, paid time off and more.
The position is Monday thru Friday, office hours. Employee must have patience and a professional phone etiquette. This position would require you to multi-task, work productively and meet deadlines. You need to have great communication skills with insurance companies and co-workers, and careful attention to detail is a must.
Starting pay is $15 an hour with benefits.

Responsibilities
Duties include working with insurance companies via phone for the following tasks:
Verification of benefits for patients
Claim status
Claim appeals
Billing
Medical record requests
Accounts payable and receivable
Managing Google spreadsheets for patients
Miscellaneous office work to support staff
Qualifications
Experience in office administration, insurance billing and/or accounting are preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
